While trolling the endless avenues of Google this morning, we happened upon this wonderfully heartwarming story on BoredPanda‘s website.  As many of you should know, BoredPanda is an online magazine for pandas.  In fact the only magazine for pandas.  Actually, even if you’re not a panda, it’s a pretty interesting site with great stories.

So this is the story that caught our eye this morning, about the Water Man, known by his real name as Patrick Kilonzo Mwalua.  A pea farmer in Kenya, Patrick became quite distressed by the water situation in his country, and the effect climate change and drought was having on wildlife.  And being Patrick, instead of sitting around and worrying about it, he decided to do something.

Patrick goes out with a water truck every day to deliver water to the dried and drying water holes that are the lifeline of the wild animals that roam Kenya’s Tsavo West National Park.

Following Patrick’s story on Bored Panda led to another site The Dodo, with more of his achievements, like raising awareness about wildlife conservation in local schools.
